Biography of Glenn Miller DJGlenn Miller (1963-) is the Founder of Canadian Online Disc Jockey Association, United States Online Disc Jockey Association. DJChat.com and DJ Search Canada (Internet Services) Glenn has been Djing since 1978. Starting while in school, then going on to Ottawa. While in Ottawa he worked for 6 years for Canadian D.J.'s. Playing parties in places such as Parliament Hill, the Chateau Laurier, all the downtown Hotels. Playing for Federal Parties, the Canadian Armed Forces, TV personalities and ethnic groups. Glenn played many Weddings and Stags, both indoor and outdoor. He even played in the backyards of some of Ottawa's Elite. In 1989 Glenn got the bug to go out on his own. The Ottawa Valley was an area that was not being serviced properly by many of the Ottawa companies. Glenn established, two companies Ottawa Valley DJs and Miller Entertainment Services. They were a multi-system company, and employed Radio and Entertainment DJs. From 1996-1999 Glenn had established the Top Canadian Online Site for DJ's called DJChat.com. In 1999, he had also been invited to DJ Tradeshows (DJWorld - Canada) (Mid - America DJ Convention - Louisville Kentucky) to give seminars to djs. He recently even had an article published in the industry trade magazine, Mobile Beat! In the new Millennium, Glenn has lead the way again in the industry, by being the first in the industry to be licensed to dj with computers! Glenn uses the leading edge DJPower Software, with a state of the art Pentium IV Lap Top system. Glenn also formed the Canadian Online Disc Jockey Association, to further the network of training, and communications for DJ's across Canada. Glenn's recent efforts were recognized by the djs in the USA, when they presented him with the American Disc Jockey Industry Service Award for all his work for djs around the world. Glenn took some well deserved time off after selling his multi system company called Ottawa Valley DJ's in 2000, and is now back with his son Andrew to do it again and to help teach the next generation! In 2005 Glenn became Canada's First Certified Computer Performance System DJ, passing a rigorous, peer-developed and reviewed standards program endorsed by a national professional body. National certification, as either a CPSDJ or CPSME, is a voluntary program which provides third party recognition of professional and technical competency. The public has a right to expect that entertainers are professionally competent, especially within those areas which affect live performances as computerized performance system (CPS) disc jockeys.
